Clubs chartered by Friday, June 19 can select a Professional Development program designed to develop members' skills and strengthen their job performance. Programs include Feedback and Evaluations, Effective Visual Design, Creating Exceptional Presentations, and more. Members will expand on essential skills such as designing, implementing, and managing business communications appropriate at all levels. Regular Toastmasters meetings keep those skills sharp while promoting communication and leadership skills through the standard curriculum.

AMAZING ANNIVERSARY EXTRAVAGANZA
Celebrate your club’s anniversary with an Open House!
- Win an Amazing Gift Basket of goodies for planning and conducting an Open House during the month of your club’s anniversary.
- Earn extra surprises when you do each of the following:
- Submit photos from your Open House event.
- Submit the meeting agenda from your Open House event.
- Share the top 2 ways guests learned about the meeting.
- Add 3+ members within one month of your Open House.
The Amazing Gift Basket is valued up to $75 for planning and conducting an Amazing Anniversary Extravaganza and adding new members to your club!
Note:
- All Dual/New/Reinstated members added within one month of your Open House qualify.
- Clubs must hold an Open House in order to receive an Amazing Gift Basket.
- If a club has an anniversary in January or February, the club can opt to either receive District Credit (via the New Year’s Challenge) OR receive a gift basket (via the Amazing Anniversary Extravaganza Program) for conducting an open house in those months, but not both. The club may participate in both open house programs by planning and conducting two separate open houses that meet requirements for both programs.
- If a club has an anniversary in January, February or March, the club can opt to either receive District Credit (via the New Year’s Challenge) OR receive additional items in their gift basket (via the Amazing Anniversary Extravaganza Program) for adding 3 or more members to their club in the given timeline defined in the program, but not both. Clubs can claim only 1 of the membership awards for new/dual/reinstated members added before March 31st.
- Submitting the PR flyer also serves as a request to post the event on the District Meetup site; however, the flyer must be submitted at least 5 days before the open house to be posted on Meetup.
To win an Amazing Gift Basket for holding an Open House, clubs must:
- Submit a publicity flyer or graphic and 3 meeting practices you follow or plan to follow using this Amazing Open House Planning Submission Form before the Open House.
To earn additional items in the Amazing Gift Basket, submit additional information about your event using this Amazing Open House Final Submission Form no later than a week after the club Open House event. For example, the deadline to submit photos is October 7th for an Open House held on September 30th. Additional information include:
- A photo or two from the meeting (with at least one showing something special your club did especially for your anniversary celebration).
- The meeting agenda from your Open House event.
- The top 2 methods of attracting guests to your Amazing Anniversary Extravaganza.

PR AWARD: CLUB WEBSITE OR PAGE
We all join Toastmasters to improve our communication skills. Take your skills to the next level by promoting your club like a small business. Not only will it benefit your club by helping members communicate with each other, it will let your organization or community know more about your interests and your club.
Designing a website may seem daunting at first but it will empower you with transferrable skills in this digital world. These skills can be used in your personal life: setup a webpage for that upcoming wedding, e-commerce, or your kayaking interest. At your workplace, you can leverage your skills by setting up a page with helpful information.
What can we win? All clubs that meet our criteria are recognized at the District Conference in May 2020. Two awesome clubs can win 1st or 2nd place! All clubs that enter will get a prize.

What about corporate clubs? Some corporate clubs aren’t open to outside people. Internal company sites can be submitted as long as non-club members at the corporation can easily access the site. The goal of PR is to promote your club to non-members.

PR AWARD: CLUB NEWSLETTER
Accelerate your written communication skills by participating in your club newsletter. Sharing club details with members gives you a forum to showcase all the goodness at your club. Education, participation, awards, calendar, and social efforts can all be promoted through your club newsletter.
Use your club to learn how to put out information & media that is worth people’s time! These transferrable skills in this digital world will come in handy at work or at home.
What can we win? All clubs that meet our criteria are recognized at the District Conference in May 2020. Two awesome clubs can win 1st or 2nd place! All clubs that enter will get a prize.

PR AWARD: MOST ACTIVE CLUB ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Our newest PR Award! If you want to stay relevant in the work force or personally, you must keep up with Social Media. Even if you aren’t the type to watch Social Media enthusiastically, you will find it is surprisingly easy and rewarding to make posts about your club. Take that Best Table Topics winner photo each meeting. Click! Just put the message out there and followers will emerge.

NEW YEAR’S CHALLENGE
Re-energize your club with an Open House in the New Year!
- Clubs earn $20 in District Credit for planning and conducting an Open House between January 1st and February 29th.
- Clubs earn $20 in District Credit for adding 3+ new/reinstated members between January 1st and March 31st who renew their membership through September 2020.
- Clubs earn an additional $20 in District Credit for adding 5+ new/reinstated members between January 1st and March 31st who renew their membership through September 2020.
Clubs can earn a total of up to $60 in District Credit for planning and conducting an Open House!

LUCKY 7
December 2019-February 2020 Training Period
- Join Lucky 7 and earn $50 in District Credit by having all seven Club Officers attend Club Officer Training in the December-February period.
- Fulfill Lucky 7 and become Magnificent 7 and earn $101 in District Credit if your club had at least 4 officers trained in the June-August 2019 period.

OPEN HOUSE CHALLENGE
